Cameron, Conner, Sam, Adam, Mike and I made decorations for our tree out of Carstons photos and butterflies. We usually have an artificial tree but this year we decided to get a live tree and decorate it with all things “Carston”. It felt comforting to have a tree honoring our missing boy. It was a very painful holiday season but we tried to take comfort in family and friends. Thanks for your continued support and love.
We purchased a memorial bench for Carston at the holidays and had it placed at a pond where we fed the ducks. It reads,

I thought of you with love today but that is nothing new
I thought about you yesterday and days before that too,

All I have are memories and your picture in a frame
Your memory is my keepsake with which I’ll never part

On Carston’s birthday we wrote letters to him and sent them up in helium balloons
